"Halfway through my PhD I knew that although science was my passion I didn't want to pursue a career in research. I started to search for my next possible step, that would allow me to stay connected to science, but more on a clinical side to have a real impact on patient’s lives. "Moving from academia to pharma can be challenging as pharmaceutical industries may prefer to recruit people with industry experience. My academic and professional background includes a PhD in Pharmacology and 10 years of post-doctoral experience in cardiovascular research.
